Project time. Put on those thinking caps.
I am on the lookout for a projector. I have a couple of things I want to cut out of vinyl contact paper that I can design on my computer but need to be bigger than 8.5×11. These are things for my car. I figure I could project them onto the wall and either draw them directly on the vinyl or onto a stencil to use in cutting out the design.
I also have this idea that I need essentially a stiff box the size of a shoe box but only half the length. It would be just as deep and mostly square-ish. I plan to cut out the bottom and mount two of them on the wall and make charging stations by my front door. Yes, I can see it in my mind’s eye, I just need the actual boxes. If anyone has any suggestions or boxes that they would like to give up for the project, let me know.
I have an LCD projector at home you could come by and use. If you can’t do it while I’m home, that’s no problem. I can give you access to a key. The only catch there is that I’ll require you to feed Leeloo some midday chicken.
We’ve got an older opaque projector and an empty Amazon cardboard box. You
are welcome to borrow the projector and keep the box.
I thought you said you didn’t have a projector.
And by Amazon box do you mean the standard one they ship book in? I am looking for one that is half a size of a regular shoe box.
They were on sale at JoAnn’s and I said I should buy one one; Kevin said he’s got one. In the basement. Somewhere.
You can always make the cardboard smaller with the applicaiton of scissors.
I have sent Kevin a poke about the projector.
Thank you for your kind offer of misc cardboard but I have enough crap to make things from scratch around here. If the project is going to get done, it must start from a higher level of Order.
