I’m back

I had an adventure and a drama this weekend. But that isn’t for this post. If I post about the drama, I am thinking I will do it when I can download the pictures which will be Thursday or after. Why would I want to go into it all if I can’t have the full dramatic effect after all? :)

A thought came to me when going through all the feelings about this weekend that made me feel better. I found my favorite way to meditate. I have recently started trying to meditate and found a spot I really like. Hotel Showers. You set the temp to warm and sit at the far end so the shower head has the widest distribution. Then you try to be one with all. The reason hotel showers are the best is because the water temp doesn’t change and you have as long as it takes instead of the 10 minutes my shower has. I am sure there are those out there that have something close to unlimited hot water at home but this is where I can easily find it for me. Now I just need to find another favorite that isn’t so expensive.

That is it for this post. I am back and I am fine. I am also not leaving to go anywhere for quite some time. The trip in Nov is questionable at this point.

  1. Hotel showers are a blessing…not only do they keep the same temp as long as you ask them to but they have WATER PRESSURE!!! Ah sweetness, lost to me when I moved to this coast it seems.
Steep with your thoughts dear lady, be steamed and relaxed, find happy or at least calmed and warmed.
    November to where?

    1. I haven’t always had luck with the water pressure but the temp has always been good.

November is the weekend after Thanksgiving for Los Con, a scifi convention. I use to work it every year but stopped when I disappeared off the face of the earth. I have been reconnecting and figured I could do it this year. After this last trip, I am wondering if I don’t need to go back to not leaving home. I am still trying to figure out if the entire thing added up to positive or negative. There was a lot of both.

      1. I worked Los Con one year, during the time I was working at Dangerous Visions.
“don’t need to go back to not leaving home”…lost me there I’m afraid. The adding up keeps one busy off and on for a while after a visit home, yes.

    1. I feel like I picked up a lot of things and also very little. I took a class on Fan Language that was “See my collection of pretty fans” and a complete waste of time. The classes that were worth it was Period Hair styling (learned a couple of cool styles), Victorian Trims (overdosed on ruffles, etc – it was like eating a full meal of deserts for the eyes), and Costume props (lots of neat ideas there). I took lots of notes but they don’t seem to really say anything. The goody bag was full of good stuff including a great catalog that everyone seem to know about already. Mmmm ordering stuff.

    1. Nope, not the enneagram thing. This was Costume College. The fact that I had Costume College in LA so close after the enneagram thing is the reason I haven’t had any time. Too much stuff going on. I am hoping that things will settle down now. I would love to talk it all out. Still don’t know when.
