Assistance requested

Ok It is time for me to request assistance (AKA Help).

I need to go grocery shopping and laundry. What assistance I need is basically haul and carry. I can’t dangle it   from my fingers and carry it with one hand, it is sort of out of my capability right now.

Also reminding me that I don’t have any researves is useful and assisting in getting me ADA help. A friend helped me shop by telling me not to move once we got in the store and finding a clerk to get me an electric cart for shopping. I felt like I could do it on my own but after a few minutes rolling around, I realized I would have worn myself out just getting to the first item.

Ren_wench helped me cook a variety of foods last night and I wore out just giving her instructions and cutting onions and meat. I am guessing that even after I get my cast off, I am still going to be a wimp and fold easily. This healing stuff is wearing even if I don’t feel weak.

I am flexable with time today (working from home) and have both Sat and Sun free. Anyone willing to offer help?
My home phone is five.ten.six.four.nine.seven.nine.three.nine.

  1. I’ve got to get the oil changed on my car tonight (it’s overdue) and pack crap for Faire. If I get it all done by a decent hour (ie before 9 pm), shall I give you a call?

Otherwise, I can run you around quickly on Monday before I head to class.

    1. It would be appreciated but I would like to spread the assistance around a little. You find time to help me by using a pry-bar on your already tight schedule. If others are available and it doesn’t cause them the difficulty it causing you (since you are pretty well booked for the next few days), I would rather go with that.

Thanks for breaking the cricket barrier on this post. :)

  2. If it helps, Safeway.com delivers groceries.

Laundry definitely has to be done in person. I’m around up there this weekend, but I don’t know yet what kind of spare time I have. I will give you a call if I’m able.

    1. I can take care of myself but it costs. I was just told to be sure to call for help and I tried that. Didn’t work as well as I hoped.

I want to thank you very much for your very clear boundaries about what type of help you can give. I appreciate that a lot.

      1. Obviously that didn’t work out. *sigh* For what it’s worth, I did keep you in mind, but I didn’t actually manage to get all my own stuff done as I’d hoped, so I never had a block of time available to help you.

Were you able to get some stuff done at least I hope?
