A’Labyrinthing we will go

Well, I have about 11 people at least interested in knowing more about the trip to see labyrinths in the North Bay, I expect a minimum of 5 if not all 11 to actually show up for at least part of it. I was a little surprised to only get one inquiry from my last post about this. I sent out a blanket email to many with basic information and have not bugged anyone again without a request to be included. If there is anyone else out there that might be interested, get a hold of me and I will send info.

We will be probably be meeting around 10am in Marin. We have a tour of three in San Anselmo by the gentleman who was instrumental in getting them installed. I am arraigning a time with one in Mill Valley. There is one in Larkspur. Three in Santa Rosa, one in Sebastopol and one in Petaluma. There is a possible one in Tiburon that I am trying to get information on. There is one in Occidental and one in Sonoma that I have as a possibility but figure we wont try for. Some times I feel like there are so many, others like there are so few. There are a couple that we aren’t going to see because they are mud soaked and their owners aren’t available.

It seems I have tapped into something. One of the movers and shakers in the North Bay regarding labyrinths is heading up to Mendocino for this weekend to visit the dozen or so up there. It is a yearly event. If I haven’t burned myself out on this trip and others I plan to do, I think I would like to do that next year.

This has been an interesting research project. It is a little hard to get all the data into a manageable form. I don’t like to lead and I seem to be the one leading this expedition. This is because I want it bad enough and I am willing to have others join me where I want to go. It uses skills that are not well exercised. Ah, the joy of growth.

I am a step ahead of you on this one. Grace Cathedral is where I get my main labyrinth fix. I did a weekend pilgrimage there and they printed out the labyrinth locator sites for CA. That is where I got most of my contact information for this event. It is a good starting point but missing a lot of information if you want to actually visit sites. I am hoping to be able to help them update the info on some of their listings with the work I did last weekend.
Another really useful site and the one that gave me the idea for the event was this one.
I will be providing a lot of data and contact information to someone doing a research project for class.

I still need to research and find the ones in SF and in Berkeley/Oakland.
