Labyrinth stuff

I finally finished my page on the Labyrinth at Grace Cathedral. It has been more moving than the Sibley one and has taken longer. Guess enthusiasm doesn’t always mean speed. I am so impressed with Grace Cathedral’s policy of Religious Immunity, I made a page with it on there. It makes me feel safe going to a christian church. The basic idea is that anyone who is seeking is welcome and free from having the christian dogma pushed on them. I have found that to be true in my dealings with them.

The monthly harmony walk has been very meaningful to me that I plan to include them in my normal schedule. Having other people around seems to make a difference to me. Walking it on my own gives me peace. Walking it with others, especially strangers really does good work for me.

A note on the Sibley labyrinth, the last time I went up there after work, I got stuck there after dark. I had to work my way out on unfamiliar paths in the dark. The moon hadn’t even risen yet so I had starlight to work by. The fog had hit the parking lot by the time I got to my car. I think Sibley is going to be a weekend only event.

  1. Thank you for both of your pages on the labyrinths. Could you repost the first URL? I had a OS failure and lost all of my old bookmarks a while back.
Are you weller? Is there any chance of a Gina sighting maybe someday soon? What if I were to travel to your neck of the woods?

    1. Actually both URLs are in this post. There is one for the Grace Cathedral labyrinth and one for the Sibley labyrinth. I am planning on making a labyrinth page and linking it to my site (thegina.com) but haven’t gotten to it yet. Not really sure what I want it to look like.

      RE: Gina sightings
These are much more likely if you are in my neck of the woods. Especially since the weather is warm (understatement). I have lost my main motivation to head southward.

I still want to introduce you to my friends, PowerPoint and Dreamweaver. If you have a portable computer/laptop we can do it northwards. If not, it will have to wait until it cools and the busy season in over (Haloween to Xmas) and I will make a trip southwards.

      1. ergh, thank you for showing me the other link there!
I’m setting up hours of volunteer work over the next week or two so by the end of the month I should be able to figure day for a run up to that end of the Bay. I would very much enjoy speaking to your “friends”. We are laptop-less at the moment but if a job ever comes in for one of us that will change swiftly.

  2. Very cool. I’ve visited the labyrinth twice in the wee hours of the night, and felt very “at home” and welcome there. I’ve never been inside or seen the plaques, but I think the open-minded attitude kind of radiates from it. It was a great place to bring my brother (an ex-catholic reborn christian) when he came to visit. It really felt like a sacred space we could share.
