Return to normalicy

We now return you to your normally scheduled Gina. Any abnormalities are part of the regular package.

After a day or two of normal temperatures, I have return to my normal state of being. Not that that isn’t plagued with problems and issues but there is much more balance between good and bad and I have the ability to tell the difference again.

  1. The Little Bear was up until god-awful tonight. He said it was the heat and it isn’t even hot anymore! This is what we get from escaping away to Alaska for a while. The poor litte dude was in real panic and compleat unrest.
I am so very glad we missed it.
I am pleased that you are you once again.

    1. Sounds like Little Bear was in a similar state as me. You (and he) have my sympathies. While it is no fun to be in this state of overheat, it is also unpleasant to put up with someone in this state.

      1. nasty heat stuff

In deal poorly with the heat. I am most happy with a nice mix of clouds and about 35 – 65 in the way of temp.
It seems the Bear does even worse when he is way over tired. I was terribly sad to watch in struggle, flip out, say he was so veryvery sorry and then go through the same cycle again.
What tricks do you have for coping?
I use cold showers but if he does that he is wide awake for hours.

  2. Heat?! Heat?! I got your heat right HERE!!!

OK, all y’all up there in No. Cal. need to ‘like totally’ not bitch about the so called ‘heat’!!!!!! Come to Vegas & set a spell & then go back home & feel the relief of the beautiful breeze blowing in across the Bay from the great Pacific as everyone drives around with their windows down & doesn’t put up the sunshield in their car when they go into a store for two minutes & where you don’t have a deep soul-penetrating fear of sitting on your vinyl seat while wearing shorts…Whaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!! I miss California!!!! You’ve all made me ‘sad pumpkin’ now!!!!! I wanna go back home! Whaahhh! (Can I get a violin up in here?……..Or at least some cheese?!) Whah.

    1. Re: Heat?! Heat?! I got your heat right HERE!!!

I’m calling you on this one. You are out of line. I am not Ken, I will not take this from friends. I am guessing that if you read this post you read the one before it where I asked that you respect my feeling about this. Even if it was protected, I believe you can see it. It is a major issue for me and not something to be given shit about.

I am not dissing your heat or complaining about the heat in “cool” bay area. My issues are with absolute temps not relative.

The fact you have chosen to live in such a hot environment is your choice. I gave up a lot to escape what I considered a too hot environment.

There are a few times that the heat in this area is more than what I can deal with. The current post was a notice to everyone that I was back to being able to deal with normal things again.

I realize you have a sharp edged sense of humor but I am warning you now that it is not something I am willing to tolerate around me. Just ask Ken.

Gina, I am soooooooooo sorry! My only defense I have is that I did, in fact, NOT read the post before the one I commented on. I just now read it and I can only hope that you’ll believe me when I tell you that I wouldn’t have said what I said had I read the previous one first. I swear!!! As for my ‘sharp edged sense of humor’, that’s putting it mildly!! I’m a flat-out sarcastic bitch!! It’s something I’m very aware of & usually make no apologies for because I can take it as well as dish it!!! Unless………..Someone I care about got hurt by it!!!!!! And that is what has happened here. Most people I get sarcastic with just give it right back to me. I completely forgot (stupid me) that that is not the person you are. I can only hope for a few things here: 1)That you know I was only making a joke that was in no way intended to cause any harm. (I have to reiterate here: Had I read the previous posting, I assure you I would’ve taken the subject seriously & not made such a comment!) 2)That you can forgive me for being such an ignoramus. and 3)That we can still be friends. I swear I would never intentionally do anything to hurt you. I may not know you as well as others, but I know you have a beautiful heart & are a very caring, kind human being. I was simply being me………..Opening my big ol’ mouth before thinking! I do it a lot!! Actually I did it today at work & may not have a job tomorrow!! Woo hoo! Free time!! Yeah! Go Kat, go! Anyway, I am being very sincere when I say I’m sorry for my hurting words. When I read the posts, what I saw were people who live in a place I only wish I could live (for the record, my Mom dragged me to this Hell-hole back in 1983, & I lack the courage you had to escape!), & they were complaining about it…………That’s ALL I saw! I’m still new to this LJ thing & I think maybe I’ll lay off commenting until I’m really sure of what I’m commenting on!!! Oh yeah, and I promise to not just read one, singular post! I need to realize that doing that can take things way out of context. I was foolish & I’m so sorry.
        Sincerely,
        Kat

        1. Re: Your Re:

          Thank you Kat.
I realized that you were just trying to be funny but I had to let you know that this was not an acceptable way with me. I actually am being somewhat mean when I dish back and I don’t like to feel that way.
It is a sign of the value I place in you that I called you on it instead of just deleting you comment and ignoring you.
I really appreciate the heartfelt apology. It makes a big difference.
