  1. I thought at first the ribbon was for awareness of Con Crud – the nasty flu-like disease that inevitably wipes out half the Staff after they’ve spent four days working their asses off, not sleeping, and otherwise depressing their immune systems.

    I’d be inclined to call it CIIDS – Convention-Induced Immuno-Deficiency Syndrome, except that’s too close to something that matters way more, and is pronounced the same as something else that matters way more.

  2. Purple Ribbon

    … here in our town, I don’t know if they have it elsewhere, stands for not leaving a child in the car. August is purple ribbon month.
