Just found out that The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy is returning to Radio 4. An all new series! They got most of the original cast to do the final three books in the Trilogy.
Now the frustrating part. It is scheduled for 21 September 2004 and I don’t know when or how we will get it here. I hate waiting. Sometimes I would rather find out about these neat things after they are available.
Radio 4 is streamed online at bbcradio.co.uk , and I know there’s some software out there by which you can record programs.
They also archive/rerun stuff on the Radio 4 page. And they’ll no doubt re-run it on Radio 7, too. So we’ll hear it, I’m sure.
Dude! I loved listening to the original radio program. I don’t have the tapes anymore (but somehow I still have my audiobook copy of Long Dark Teatime of the Soul *shrug*).
Don’t forget that they’ll release it on CD at some point and thankfully, those have no stupid region encoding like DVDs so you can order them from Amazon.co.uk or somesuch as soon as they are released over there.
