I am in trouble but I am not as bad as some of the people I know *cough capricious_k* *cough fresne*
I have managed to say “no” to 4 of the questions. And I am not that bad on some of the others. I own up to some of them with a hearty Yes.
Thanks to theferrett for the link.
heh. I said no to 5.
No way!!! I still think you are a heavier user than I.
Of course I am. They neglected to add a key component of literature abuse – taking works of literature and merging them with pop-culture for the amusement of your other literature abusing friends. Mixing Buffy and Jane Austen has to count for several points there.
Heh, 2
Although, I am rather lumping literary projects in there with the actual literature.
All of which reminds me of Junior High, when I signed out library books under fake names, High School, when I stashed books in the locker room, the time I fainted after reading Clan of the Cave Bear for however many hours that was (it’s all kind of blurry).
Actually, come to think of it I’m much better than I used to be. Taps fingers on arm, now I just read socially.
I just realized that I didn’t open a book the entire time I was at the most recent DHP! It might be a first.
I like having a book with me. I typically don’t read it but it provides me comfort knowing it is there if I need it. I started leaving it behind when doing stuff with people, but then I would get stuck waiting while they parked or some such and needed something to entertain me, so I started the habit up again.
My knitting fills that need for me. And it makes me feel useful and productive! Perhaps I am a fiber abuser?
Literature Abuser Here
Only had to say “no” to 5.
Have book stashed all over. 1 in the car, 1 at work, 1 in my gym bag. Pile by the bed of course.
Remember the bet I won w/ Highlander over books? He had more quanity (albeit 90% were gaming manuals), but I had more hardcovers and my collection weighed more!
I *am* Book Woman! (sigh) still have to figure a way to do that costume.

Whoops… there were only *3* I didn’t answer Yes too…
- I am unable to enjoy myself with others unless there is a book nearby.
- I have attempted to check out more library books than permitted.
- I have suffered ‘blackouts’ or memory loss from a bout of reading.
Is there a 12-step program for Lit-addicts?
Me thinks there’s something wrong with this test as I said no nine times…

I’m In Trouble!
And that’s a funny link…
And my family’s first four cats: Dylan, Dante, Shelley and Keats.
hey, just because I said “yes” to all but 4 questions (the ones about thinking you have a problem, having to have a book with you (i’ve gotten over that) and the socializing with people you otherwise wouldn’t) and my parents spent 100 grand to put me through SMC so I could clerk at B&N does -NOT- make me an abuser. I do -not- have a problem. I can stop any time I want.
